St David (500-589AD) is the patron Saint of Wales and we celebrated the Welsh national day at Riversdown this week. Our residential teacher, Kerry Davies, is a proud Welsh man and his wife was kind enough to bake Welsh Cakes for our students. An excellent Welsh dinner of leek soup and roast lamb was followed by a talk on St David by Dr Nigel Paterson.
