53 anni a Riversdown

In June, Riversdown celebrated its 53rd birthday! Founded in 1971 by Richard D Lewis, who pioneered the ‘total immersion’ concept, Riversdown House continues to provide the best learning environment, away from life’s many distractions, in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Students are surrounded by the language and culture from morning to night, which encourages them to start to think (and even dream!) in English, and gain confidence in using the language.

Our aim remains unchanged – to help our students reach a level of competence which allows fluent and confident communication in all settings, be they professional or social. We continue to support you to perform more effectively in an international environment, improving your language ability, and other key business skills through presentation workshops, meeting simulations and negotiation practice.

The secret to Riversdown’s success as a training centre is not only that we provide tailor-made English immersion courses to professionals, but also the welcoming and holistic atmosphere. We enjoy hosting our clients as much as they enjoy being here, with many unable to resist returning to the idyllic setting!

Seungpyo Hur was one of the very first students in 1971, a football player from South Korea, and now a lifelong friend of Mr Lewis. In a ‘full circle’ moment we were delighted to have his daughter, Suhjung Hur, and her son, visit us to see where her father studied all those years ago.

We still have some spaces left for courses in August – book today and become part of Riversdown history!
