Breakfast – Turkish style

Students and teachers were recently treated to a Turkish breakfast which consisted of Cilbir, perfectly poached eggs served over a delicious garlicky yogurt; menemen, which is made of soft scrambled eggs with tomatoes, peppers, and onions; a salad of rocket and avocado and lots of toast.  Beto helped in the kitchen as Ayse (originally from Istanbul) taught him some new culinary skills.  Ayse made great progress with her English when she stayed with us for three weeks.  We love it when our students want to share their culture and take over the kitchen!
