Private Room with fine dining
You are accommodated in one of eight private rooms each with its own bathroom (five ensuite) in Riversdown House itself. Coffee and tea-making facilities, free laundry service and free wifi are available for every student.
The main house is a protected building dating back to the 14th century. The foundations of the original medieval hall were laid in 1328. The novelist Jane Austen is said to have spent weekends there.
Unless requested otherwise we accommodate our students to ensuite rooms on a first-come-first served basis. Returning students can request a specific room if they desire and many ask to stay in Valhalla (pictured at the top), in the main house. The atmosphere can be worth the few extra steps down to your private bathroom.
Excellent international cuisine is provided by our chefs, including a three-course dinner with wine, served in Riversdown House’s historic dining room where you will eat with fellow students and staff. We are able to cater for all dietary, religious and cultural requirements including halal and kosher cooking.
